OpenAI board comes under pressure from investors to reinstate Sam Altman as CEO
On November 19th, it was reported by insiders that investors of OpenAI are pressuring the company's board to reverse the decision to dismiss former CEO Sam Altman and remove him from his position as a board member. Some investors are actively seeking help from Microsoft, the largest shareholder of OpenAI.
In addition, insiders revealed that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has been in contact with Altman and promised to support him regardless of his next steps. Altman is open to returning to the company. One scenario currently being considered is that current members of the OpenAI board will resign.
