Decentralized Bitcoin mining project Mummolin raises $6.2 million in seed funding, led by Jack Dorsey
Mummolin, Inc. announced that it has raised $6.2 million in seed funding, with strategic partners such as Jack Dorsey, Accomplice, Barefoot Bitcoin Fund, MoonKite, NewLayer Capital, and Bitcoin Opportunity Fund leading the investment. The seed funding will support the launch of the decentralized Bitcoin mining project OCEAN.
Luke Dashjr, a long-term Bitcoin core developer and co-founder of Mummolin, said: "The role of mining pools must change for Bitcoin to exist as a truly decentralized currency. OCEAN is a new type of mining pool that allows miners to once again become true miners. As the most transparent mining pool launched, it is also the only non-custodial mining pool that allows miners to directly receive new block rewards from Bitcoin."
