Polygon Labs' proposal to launch ApeCoin DAO to use Polygon CDK to develop zk-L2 "ApeChain" was not approved
The proposal AIP-368 initiated by Polygon Labs to use Polygon CDK to develop the zero-knowledge second-layer network "ApeChain" for ApeCoin DAO has completed voting but ultimately did not pass, according to Snapshot voting information. It is reported that the proposal was jointly initiated by Sandeep Nailwal, co-founder of Polygon Labs, with the aim of promoting the ApeCoin community to build an exclusive second-layer network with Polygon Labs, focusing on usability and modularity, as well as improving security, reducing costs, high customizability, instant withdrawal and sharing of liquidity, and also collaborating with the Polygon ecosystem. In addition, the proposal also suggests setting up an independent fund in the ApeCoin treasury to promote the development of ApeCoin-related projects and ApeChain-related public services. According to the voting results, the proportion of opposing votes for AIP-368 reached 65.5%, and the proportion of supporting votes was 34.5%.
