Bitcoin Ordinals NFT “Creation Cat” sold for $250,000 at Sotheby’s
The famous auction house Sotheby's announced that the special edition "Genesis Cat" of the Bitcoin Ordinals NFT project Quantum Cat was sold for over $250,000. "Genesis Cat" was created by digital artist FAR and received over 50 bids, ultimately selling for a price of 6.31 bitcoins, equivalent to approximately $254,000.
Earlier this month, Taproot Wizards announced the Quantum Cat series based on the Bitcoin Ordinals inscription, which includes 3,333 images and has a creation cost on Bitcoin of over $66,000. The wider auction for this series is scheduled for January 29th.
