R3 Digital Markets launches DLT for capital markets
Enterprise blockchain company R3 has launched a new product suite, R3 Digital markets, which uses Corda DLT to serve the capital markets. Corda has been deployed in many digital currency and capital market environments. For example, it is the foundation technology for SIX Digital Exchange (SDX), Euroclear's digital financial market infrastructure, and Japan's Progmat tokenization network. The new R3 product combines multiple functions, including digital currency, digital assets, and interoperability. R3 has been offering CBDC products for some time and acquired IVNO bank tokens and settlement products in 2021, so these elements are part of R3's digital currency. R3 Digital Assets provides a tokenization suite that supports issuance, listing, trading, and custody.
