Vitalik Buterin: The best way is to limit calldata and use the opportunity to add more blob space
On January 25th, Toni Wahrstatter, a data researcher at the Ethereum Foundation, responded to Vitalik Buterin's previous statement that if blob space is full and cannot be rolled back to calldata without paying too much, the cost of the entire Ethereum ecosystem (including L2) will be higher. Vitalik Buterin then stated that he believes using calldata as a "rollback" to blob space is not a healthy pattern. If rollups eventually maintain two code paths, this pattern will feel very wasteful. The best way is to limit calldata and use this opportunity to add more blob space.
