Vitalik Buterin: Backing Reddit's experiment with contributor ownership
Vitalik Buterin quoted the "Restricted Stock Unit Plan for the Reddit IPO (US Citizens Only)" in a post on Warpcast, stating, "I strongly support Reddit's attempt to give contributors ownership. I know this is entirely a regulatory issue, not a problem with Reddit itself, but it makes me sad. This is why we support crypto, it is a global economy."
Earlier reports stated that Reddit had submitted an IPO application to the NYSE and announced plans to invest a portion of its excess cash reserves in Bitcoin and Ethereum, with the possibility of continuing such investments in the future.
