Gnosis Chain launches Ethereum Dencun hard fork for the first time
The Ethereum hard fork has been launched on another chain for the first time, the Gnosis Chain, originally called the xDai Chain, which is a proof-of-stake blockchain designed to maintain full Ethereum compatibility, including the ability to directly implement all hard forks. Yesterday, Gnosis activated the Dencun hard fork, which is expected to go live on Ethereum in less than two days. This is possible because Gnosis' design reflects Ethereum's design, with a "beacon" chain and execution layer. Infrastructure director Phillippe Schommers said that Gnosis can be considered a research network for testing real-world things.
