SparkLend has been approved by MakerDAO to increase its debt limit to 2.5 billion DAI
SparkLend is a lending platform and a sub-DAO organization within Maker. In recent weeks, it has issued too much DAI, requiring authorization to lend more. In the recent governance vote, Maker unanimously voted to double the maximum debt ceiling of D3M to 2.5 billion DAI. D3M represents a decentralized debt market module, which is designed to optimize DAI liquidity across different DeFi platforms. The module will automatically adjust the DAI borrowing and lending rates on external platforms, such as Aave, to be consistent with the stable fee of DAI within the MakerDAO system.
