As Bitcoin (BTC) eyes a fresh retest of $70,000 in wake of data that showed that the US labor market softened more than expected in April, bolstering Fed rate cut hopes, traders are scouring altcoins markets for the best crypto to buy now for quick gains.
The US JOLTs Job Openings report for April saw job openings decline to 8.06 million from 8.49 million in March.
That was the lowest reading since June 2021, and bigger than the expected drop to 8.35 million.
It also marked a continuation of the cooling off of demand for labor seen since 2022. Job openings peaked above 11.5 million in May 2022.
The latest data helped bolster confidence that the Fed will be cutting interest rates by September.
As per a CME’s tool , the market-implied odds of at least one rate cut by September was last over 65%. That’s up from under 60% one day go, under 45% one week ago and around 33% one month ago.
Traders will be hoping that the official jobs report on Friday also points to a softening labor market.
That could be just the catalyst needed to send Bitcoin back above $70,000 on a lasting basis.

Last just under $0.18, KAS is eyeing a challenge of yearly highs around $0.19. Its rebound from April/May lows is already over 75%.
The crypto’s momentum is likely to continue until it tests its 2024 highs at $0.19.

Decentralized Internet of Things (IoT) protocol JasmyCoin (JASMY) is rallying hard, up 12% in 24 hours .
Last just under $0.040, JASMY is now up 1,300% versus its 2023 lows of around $0.003.
According to CoinMarketCap , JASMY is still down around 99% from its all-time high price of late 2021.
