Research: Bitcoin still regularly traverses larger price ranges within trading days
According to a study released at the Aggressive Investor Forum by the Chartered Financial Analyst Association (CFA Institute), Bitcoin still regularly traverses larger price ranges within trading days, also known as range-based actual volatility. This may lead people to believe that Bitcoin is generally more unstable than other assets. Caroline Mauron, co-founder of digital asset derivatives liquidity provider Orbit Markets, said that there's still a long way for Bitcoin's volatility to drop to levels unattractive to traders. Its volatility remains higher than almost all traditional assets.
