Spacecoin, a DePIN project, plans to provide high-speed internet services to underdeveloped regions by launching nanosatellites, Decrypt reported. The project is backed by U.S. military generals, lunar scientists, NASA astronauts, and Blockchain industry experts. Spacecoin will utilize blockchain technology to manage data transfers, and users will be able to pay for the network using cryptocurrency. The first satellite, CTC-0, is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2024, with the goal of establishing a global 5G network at a lower cost to help bridge the digital divide.
