Donald Trump Announced He Will Issue His Own Coin: But It’s Not What It Seems
Former US President Donald Trump announced in a post on his social media platform Truth Social that he will be minting his own physical silver coins.
The cryptocurrency market initially thought that this would be a Trump coin on the blockchain, but the truth soon came out.
However, Donald Trump is actually in the process of launching his own cryptocurrency. The whitepaper of the DeFi project called World Liberty Finance, organized by his sons, states that an altcoin called WLFI will be launched. Although it was said that this token would be non-transferable at first, the project received backlash when it was claimed that 70% of the supply would be held by the developers and the Trump family.
Donald Trump, the Republican Party candidate in the USA, is behind Kamala Harris with 48% of the predictions, according to the cryptocurrency prediction market platform Polymarket.
The election to be held in November is of such importance that it will determine the fate of the cryptocurrency market, and the majority of users think that a Trump victory will benefit the cryptocurrency market.
