Fed's Daley: September rate cut was to recalibrate rates

Fed's Daley said that real interest rates are rising while the policy rate remains unchanged, which could lead to excessive tightening and damage the labour market. Therefore, the September rate cut is a recalibration to make interest rates more appropriate for the economy.
