Some features of the new security measures include data encryption, which secures customer information, and “isolation of customer environments” to enhance security. Additionally, the platform will use advanced security tools known as Hardware Security Modules to provide top-level protection for stored assets.
In the press release, Korcan Abalı, the CEO of Garanti BBVA Kripto, noted the growing interest in digital assets among customers. He said that more customers want to transfer and store their crypto, which means they need to invest more in security and performance.
Işıl Kılınç Gürtuna, General Manager of IBM Türkiye also supports this view, in her comment on the partnership, she emphasized the need for strong security and compliance as digital assets become more popular. She stated that IBM’s technology will help Garanti BBVA Kripto meet high-security standards.
