Ng was removed from all roles at DWF Labs after a woman, Hana, accused him of drugging her at a Hong Kong bar, backed by video evidence. DWF Labs has announced Lingling Jiang as the new partner to replace Eugene Ng amid serious accusations.

Jiang, now in charge of DWF Labs’ strategic initiatives and business development, steps into her role under unusual circumstances.

DWF Head Andrei Grachev expressed optimism about Jiang’s arrival, saying , “I believe that her experience and working style will help us to grow even faster than before.” Grachev made no mention of the scandal, but DWF Labs responded quickly to the allegations yesterday.

Social media blows up over former DWF exec allegations

Eugene was dropped from both DWF Labs and OpenEden after social media exploded with shocking claims against him. DWF Labs made it clear that Eugene had been removed from all “management and operational roles,” without explicitly naming him.

The company’s announcement read, “We are aware of the recent and deeply concerning allegations involving one of our partners, who has been accused of inappropriate and unacceptable behavior.” Eugene’s profile disappeared from DWF’s team page, and his connections to DWF were erased.

The story began with a woman named Hana, who posted her encounter with Eugene, accusing him of spiking her drink at a Hong Kong bar on October 24. Reportedly, Eugene had lured her with a supposed job opportunity that would “perfectly match her background.”

Hana, new to the crypto space and eager to learn, accepted his invitation. But she described the night as quickly taking a dark turn.

She claimed the incident unfolded after Eugene excused himself to take a call, during which a waitress approached Hana and warned her that he had tampered with her drink.

Hana reported feeling the effects almost immediately after returning to her seat, describing dizziness and nausea as she tried to leave the bar. “I was shocked and couldn’t believe someone like him could do something so horrible,” she wrote.

Eugene allegedly became persistent after spiking her drink, with Hana recounting that he said, “Come with me. I have a suite at the Murray. Stay close; I can give you more alpha. I can help you get places.”

Hana’s description of Eugene’s behavior suggested that this might not have been a one-off incident. She called his demeanor “polished and practiced,” indicating that his moves were rehearsed.

The night took a frightening turn as Hana felt the effects of the drug kicking in, making her feel ill and increasingly disoriented.

She reported the entire event to the authorities, providing CCTV footage that allegedly showed Eugene tampering with her drink multiple times. In one part of the footage, he appears to stir the drink repeatedly, attempting to dissolve the substance he allegedly added.

Hana later shared that this evidence only heightened her horror at the situation.

“I’m lucky enough to have been saved by the waitress,” she wrote, adding, “Even in professional settings, women are not always safe.”
