Bitwise CEO: Bitcoin price rise will not trigger similar concerns about overvaluation as stocks
Hunter Horsley, CEO of Bitwise Invest, stated that Bitcoin set a new all-time high this week, but did not cause concerns about overvaluation among investors like stocks do. "Bitcoin is different," he explained, "when a company's stock rises, the price-to-earnings ratio also rises, at some point people will say 'this is overvalued,' and then they will become less interested until the price falls." Horsley added that without the same financial performance indicators, "when the price of Bitcoin rises, people will think it is more likely to succeed, so it will be more valuable, and it is likely to rise further."
