At the G20 summit currently taking place in Brazil, French President Emmanuel Macron said that cryptocurrencies are a threat to the world because they disrupt global financial stability.
According to Macron, cryptocurrencies have become a powerful destabilizing factor for the entire global economy, as digital assets are extremely difficult to regulate.
The French President stressed that in the context of growing geopolitical tensions, financial stability remains a priority for the G20 and this issue should always be in the spotlight.
Cryptocurrency does not have any regulatory system, and its further use without appropriate control could have a negative impact on the financial systems of developing countries, Emmanuel Macron noted.
He stressed that too little attention is paid to the risks of destabilization of the global economy that cryptocurrencies could provoke during international meetings and discussions.
In other words, the French President is convinced that cryptocurrencies are capable of destabilizing the international situation and causing significant harm to national economies, especially in developing countries.
Apparently, Emmanuel Macron prefers not to notice the fact that the devaluation of fiat currencies causes even more harm to the world. As well as the positive effect of legalizing Bitcoin in El Salvador.
