Core Scientific mined 6595 Bitcoins in the year 2024
PANews reported on January 6 that Bitcoin mining company Core Scientific released its operational and production data for December 2024. The company mined a total of 6595 Bitcoins (BTC) throughout the year, with 974 BTC produced in the fourth quarter alone. In December, self-operated mining machines mined 291 BTC, while hosted machines contributed an additional 18 BTC. By the end of 2024, the company was operating approximately 171,000 Bitcoin mining machines in its data centers with a total computing power reaching up to 20.1 EH/s; self-operated machines accounted for about 96% of this figure. Additionally, through grid support measures, the company has repeatedly reduced power consumption and delivered a total of 30,985 megawatt-hours of electricity to local grids.
