Bitget Copy Trading: How to Set Leverage

2022-07-06 01:560958

After following an elite trader, followers can select the leverage type by switching to “Advanced Settings” in the Settings page. Details are as follows:

I. Copy the position’s leverage

You can open a futures position with the leverage you choose, regardless of what leverage the trader may use.

Example: If the leverage of your BTCUSDT futures is 10X, and the elite trader’s leverage is 20X, when the trader opens a position, you will copy their trades using a leverage of 10X. Even if you are following multiple traders, the leverage will always be 10X.

II. Use specified leverage

When you select a specified leverage, you will follow the elite trader with the pre-set leverage to open a position. Your copy trade may fail if the balance is insufficient.

Example: Let's say you are copying Trader A, and you have set the leverage for BTCUSDT futures at 5X. In this case, you will copy trades with a leverage of 5X, regardless of the leverage used by the trader.

III. Follow the elite trader’s leverage

You can open a position based on the leverage of the elite trader. Your copy trade may fail if the balance is insufficient.

Example: If Trader A uses a leverage of 10X and Trader B uses a leverage of 20X, you will copy Trader A's position with a leverage of 10X and copy Trader B's position with a leverage of 20X.

*Notes:

1. The default leverage mode is "Copy margin" unless you change it under "Advanced settings".

2. By selecting "Specified leverage" or "Copy margin”, the leverage will be used to calculate whether your balance is sufficient to carry out the copy trade. The actual leverage for your futures will remain unchanged.
